Icom IC 7300 image front

My main transceiver is a Icom IC-7300, doing 2-100W on HF/6m and 2-50W on 4m. It is an SDR transceiver with excellent filtering and a nice large display. It also has an internal tuner.

It is connected to a Diamond WD-330s T2FD folded dipole for 80 to 10 meters. It is the best broadband antenna I can put up in the small space I have for it.

My backup/portable transceiver is an Icom IC-7000, doing 2-100W on HF/50, 50W on 2m and 35W on 70cm. I use it mostly on field days, JOTA and other events where the IC-7300 is a bit too big or fragile to take with me.

I purchased the IC-7000 because of it's versatility and nice display, after reading many reviews, tests and forumpostings about it. If you can have only one transceiver that does about everything from 80m to 70cm except D-Star, this is a good candidate.

It is not the best transceiver you can buy, but a real good jack of all trades. And it comes in a very portable size too!

In my car and at home I use the Anytone AT-D578UV, a true dual receive 2/70 FM/DMR mobile transceiver with lots of nice features like analog APRS send or crossband and same band repeater.

It does RX/TX from 136-174 and 400-480 MHz, with max 50W into a small magnet mounted dual band antenna on the car and an X50N at home.

My main portable HT's are (I own three of them, of which one with the BT optionn) Anytone AT-D878UV's. With two VFO's (although not true dual receive) I can RX/TX on 136-174 and 400-480 MHz in FM and DMR. Power is limited to about 5W, but it can also do analog APRS send.

thf7e I still own the Kenwood TH-F7E transceiver. It does 50mw/500mW/5W on VHF/UHF only, but has been MARS modded so also does TX on PMR446. It also has a general coverage receiver.
I use my Retevis RT97P DMR/analog 10W repeater mostly for Scouting events where we need communications. All my handhelds can be used with this repeater, although not all in DMR mode.
I also own 12 Retevis RT50 DMR/analog 10W handhelds. Great and easy to operate handhelds! Can be used with the RT97P repeater or simplex.
bf888s I also own about 25 Baofeng BF888s HT's. Analog UHF and 2W (max and that's optimistic) only, but very cheap (less than 10 euros when bought in China). So perfect to use for Scouting activities, where damage/wear is always an option. ;) Can also be used with the RT97P repeater, but only in analog mode.
